Self catering accommodation at its best, between the Wye Valley and Vale of Usk, well located for Chepstow, Monmouth, Raglan, Abergavenny, Forest of Dean, Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons, in the designated “Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty".

Cwmcarvan is within easy reach of London, Oxford, Bristol and the Midlands, with good roads to within a few miles.

SHORT BREAKS

Short breaks are welcome outside the main holiday times. See Bookings. Short break pricing is straight forward using the "National Trust" method. Take the weekly figure, divide it by 7 and multiply it by the number of nights required plus a £45 supplement. The normal minimum is three nights.

THE OLD FARM HOUSE (now with wireless broadband)

Both the exterior and the interior of this 17th farmhouse take you to back to the annual rotation of life in a past century. Graded Wales Tourist Board 4 Star, The Old Farmhouse is ideal for couples or families. Accommodates 4+ cot or additional bed.

It is warm, thoroughly well fitted and finished, and well recommended by everyone who visits.

ALDER COTTAGE

Alder Cottage is a charming detached single storey cottage, for a couple or 2+1, recently converted and with under floor heating and well finished comfort.

Accessibility

Both properties are suitable for accompanied wheelchair users, and have a downstairs bedroom and shower room. The upstairs bedroom in The Old Farmhouse is accessed by circular stone stairs and therefore is not suitable for those unsteady on their feet.
